I really like these boots for their style and versatility. I bought a pair last winter and wore them any time the weather wouldn't permit most of my other shoes, which was most days last winter. I bought them in brown. They were beautiful and I got a lot of compliments. They looked awful by the end of the day with snow and salt on them, but they were easy to clean. Unfortunately, before the winter was even over they were totally worn out. The shoe was separating from the sole on both boots, and any dampness came right through and soaked my feet. I wanted to give them another try, so this year I bought them in black. I have only worn them once, because the black boots do not look nearly as nice as the brown ones. For some reason, in black, they just look like any old winter boots, whereas the brown ones were very stylish. They are also very squeaky.
Service from Trotters is always excellent.

the best part was finding that my size was available (10.5 narrow) which is a rarity for me with many shoe companies!

In Boston you need a great looking, warm boot that also resists the slush snow causes. There are few of these available. The Blizzard is one. It looks like a fashion boot, even with a heel, but resists the weather like a snow boot.
I now live in Tennessee two years later and it is still great for the fall and winter weather.
Also, I have high arches and the support of the Blizzard is excellent.
